Dhurries are ancient flatly-weaved rugs having originated in this Part of the world since ancient times. These have strong, tightly - woven and rustic weaves with no pile or backing , making them not reversible. The hand - spun yarn used to make the rugs is hand - dyed with natural pigment producing long-lasting and vibrant colour’s. Dhurrie Weaving has traditionally been a ‘village industry’ in Pakistan and is considered a major life source to many villagers providing income, occupation and creativity . Dhurrie rugs are a perfect way of combining the beauty of historic artistry with contemporary decor.
