As a painter could use different mediums to make a painting. We decided to use hand woven rugs from around the world to make our furniture into art pieces. The standard fabric upholstery is replaced by hand embroidered, hand woven and sometimes hand Knotted rugs. Different combinations of fabric, rugs, embroideries and leather are used. In the past, rugs have been cut and used as upholstery of the sofas, This results in designs being off centre red at some places.
We pioneered and innovated the techniques to weave rugs to fit a sofa perfectly. This is a very cumbersome technique to master but the result is a masterpiece that will warm a home for generations. The rugs are normally meant for the floors. When these beautiful rugs go on a sofa, they can last a longtime and grow old gracefully.
