Hidden away in a barn for two decades, this cabinet remains in pristine condition, untouched since its arrival from outside this region before the Taliban takeover. Many pieces of furniture from this region, including those from Pakistan, undergo excessive restoration.

Even if they are original and made of old wood, they are over- cleaned and highly polished, so we believe it’s important to showcase them as they would be if you were in the mountains and saw them there. Nestled in the majestic mountains of Northern Pakistan, the Valley of Swat has been a bastion of rich heritage and culture for decades. This mountain region has undergone continuous transformations over the centuries, and in recentyears, these reforms have propelled it to new heights.
