This basket is often called a snake basket. The snake man would often visit the neighbourhood.

The kids would get together and the snake man would pull out his basket. A black cobra always emerged from the basket and danced to the beat of the flute. The basket provided the snake with a natural habitat as it is very environmentally friendly. This special basket is also called a "Tortilla Basket". It keeps all your bread and tortilla warm and fresh. The base of this basket only touches the table in the centre and the rest of the base is elevated to provide air circulation from the bottom as well.
